Good morning! It's been three days since I posted last since you enjoyed a three-day weekend. My husband had a successful weekend of healing and got to have the much-hated NG (naso-gastric) tube removed from his nose yesterday (some of you who follow along on my Facebook may have seen the pic of his smiling face that I posted yesterday!). He is feeling tons better today without that thing irritating his throat. He is on track to be discharged in another week, I think.
I noticed over the weekend when I was going through your assignments for this week that I actually had an assignment in your "workbook" for Monday, but you didn't have school. I will be adjusting your To Do lists each day this week; feel free to compare what I wrote below and make changes in your "workbook" To Do Lists so that you know what you need to have accomplished for each day in order to stay on track.
For TODAY (Tuesday)
1. Do warm-up questions #26-30. Check the answers with the sub.
2. Listen to The Call of the Wild and follow along in your Kindles. (Chapter Three)
--> You will need to have the sub play CD #1. Please listen to Tracks #73-99 as a whole
class and follow along in your Kindles. Then, play CD #2 and listen to Tracks #1-23. That will get you through all of Chapter Three.
--> Remember, it is each class' responsibility to keep the Kindles charged. If your Kindle
is running out of battery life, make sure it gets plugged back in when you are done
reading. Any Kindle that is showing a green light when it is plugged in is fully
charged; you can switch the power supply cord from any fully-charged Kindle to one
that needs to be charged.
--> Keep the laptops plugged in when you're not using them as well!
3. Complete the activities in your "workbook" (vocabulary - please use Learner's Dictionary; sequence of events, character definitions and quality of life chart, plus one P.E.A.).
4. ADD IN: Do questions #1 AND #2 that were on the page for Tuesday, February 17. Keep in mind that they are PEAs and you will need evidence from the text to complete them.

Check back for my post tomorrow with your Cornell notes and updated schedule for Wednesday! :)
