Good morning!
I hope you enjoyed your three-day weekend. I was excited for you when I saw that you got a snow day due to windchill on Friday. It's always nice to have a little break during the long winter! This puts you a little behind schedule again, but the only thing you will have to do is change the dates in your "workbooks". The actual To Do lists will stay the same. My plan for this week is to be back to school by this Friday. My husband is doing great and should be released from the hospital very soon; yesterday, he was feeling so well that he sat in his hospital bed and was working on building a small computer from a kit that he bought at Radio Shack before we came here. Yup, he's a bit of a geek. :) For today, you will do the work from Friday, February 20, so cross off "Friday, February 20" in your "workbook" and write "Monday, February 23" on that page instead. You'll do all the assignments on that page today and you will start your Discovery Ed testing tomorrow. To Do List 1. Do warm-up questions #46-50. Check the answers with the sub. 2. Listen to The Call of the Wild and follow along in your Kindles. (Chapter Five - it says Three in your workbook, but that's a mistake...sorry. :) ) --> You will need to have the sub play CD #2. Please listen to Tracks #51-99 as a whole class and follow along in your Kindles. --> Remember, it is each class' responsibility to keep the Kindles charged. If your Kindle is running out of battery life, make sure it gets plugged back in when you are done reading. Any Kindle that is showing a green light when it is plugged in is fully charged; you can switch the power supply cord from any fully-charged Kindle to one that needs to be charged. --> Keep the laptops plugged in when you're not using them as well! 3. Complete the activities in your "workbook" (vocabulary - please use Learner's Dictionary; sequence of events, character definitions and quality of life chart, plus one P.E.A.). If you are behind on assignments or would like a digital copy of the novel to use when finishing work, click here. Check back for my post tomorrow with your instructions for how to access the Discovery Ed test. :) See you very soon! :)
