1. (2:45-3:45) In one paragraph, summarize what life during the "Age of Industry" was like.
2. (5:20-7:40) How was childhood being destroyed by the Industrial Age?
3. How did Samuel Taylor Coleridge change his life after the birth of his son? Why did he choose to do this?
4. (22:30) What did the Romantic poets believe was the connection between childhood and nature?
5. Paragraph In the documentary, it is mentioned that William Wordsworth was "raised by nature". In your opinion, how would a childhood in the country be different than a childhood in a city? What would a child in the country experience that would be different from what a child in the city might experience?
6. One of the themes in Romantic poetry and literature is "journey to freedom", which means finding some kind of escape from everyday problems or troubles by experiencing nature. How did William Wordsworth find an escape out in nature? What problems do you think he was escaping from?

8. Use Learner's Dictionary to define the word "sublime." The narrator suggests that the Romantics have taught us how to look for the sublime in nature. What do you think that means?
